Honestly I can’t think of a better way to celebrate than with these DI-LISH-USH scratch made honey rose kombucha margaritas.

These kombucha cocktails are

  • Citrusy

  • Floral

  • Bubbly

  • Fresh

  • Bright

  • Refreshing

  • Healthier than your average Margarita

What makes these honey rose kombucha margaritas healthy?

Well first of all, most margaritas that you order at a restaurant are laden with lots of sugar, if not some nasty neon green sweet and sour mix.

But there’s no yucky sugary mixers or sweet and sour, here.

This honey rose margarita gets it’s tart / sweet combo from real citrus juice, honey, and a splash of kombucha. Plus a little rose water for some floral notes because this stuff is AMAZING!

For the margarita

  • salt for the rim of the glass + lime wedge

  • 2 ounces fresh lime juice

  • 11/2 ounces fresh lemon juice

  • 3 ounces of blanco tequila

  • 1 ounce of rose water

  • 1 ounce of honey (OR MAPLE SYRUP IF VEGAN), warmed slightly to mix more easily if needed

  • 14 ounces of your kombucha of choice

To garnish

  • lime wedges

  • fresh rose buds

  • dried rose buds

How to make these honey rose kombucha margaritas

  1. Run a lime wedge around the rim of two glasses and coat with salt. Set aside.

  2. In a cocktail shaker combine fresh citrus juice, tequila, rose water, honey, and shake a few times without ice so the honey can dissolve.

  3. Once mixed, add a handful of ice and shake again until very cold. Strain into 2 glasses, dividing evenly.

  4. Top with kombucha and garnish with lime wedges, fresh rose buds and a lemon twist.

  5. That’s it! Cheers! Enjoy!

A few notes on this margarita recipe

  • You definitely want to add the kombucha last, to preserve the bubbles.

  • Any flavor of kombucha will work, but a citrus or floral flavor would pair perfectly.

  • Some flavors of kombucha are sweeter than others – taste your kombucha before you begin and if it’s very sweet you may want to reduce the amount of honey in the recipe.

  • To make it a mocktail simply leave out the tequila and add extra kombucha!

  • If you’re feeling fancy buy a few rose stems and use them to garnish the margaritas. Dried rose petals and a lime wedge would also be lovely.
